Market Analyst - Victorian Operations - Support & Greenfields

This is a highly challenging but rewarding role located in Mount Waverley within the busy Margin Management team. Assist with the delivery of data and reporting for competitor comparisons, market share analytics, product/promotion sales data, land data and house base retail pricing.
Reporting to the National Market & Margin Strategy Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Analyze Metricon product, sales and business mix for insights about future product development, customer preferences, price points, segmentation
  • Provide key insights and recommendations to improve Metricon Sales and Product positioning
  • Assist Metricon to improve operational performance through management of market research projects around display centre visitors, point of sale materials, competitor products and selling techniques
  • Developing action plans to drive business improvement from key findings
  • Analyze competitor approval data, marketing collateral, product specifications, pricing and create market intelligence tools to assist Metricon with pricing and strategy decisions
  • Permit data analysis
  • Inclusion comparison
  • Promotional tools analysis
  • Design and product range comparisons
  • Maintain the House Base Price database for all VIC regions
  • Management of Retail House & Promotional Pricing
  • Liaise with General Managers on base price adjustments
  • Develop proposed retail pricing on and margins to GM’s on new designs; and
  • Ad-hoc analysis for General Managers, Sales Managers and Product Development team.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor in Business is an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience working in an administration position using Excel
  • Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced constantly evolving environment
  • At times, the role requires time out in the field collecting data and understanding the marketplace, candidates must have a drivers licence and car suitable for this level of activity; and
  • In addition you will be proactive and solution orientated with a ‘can-do’ attitude, and a passion and commitment to achieving excellence through team work.
