Construction Manager - Town Living

This is a highly rewarding but challenging role for an experienced Construction Manager located in Metricon's Metro South build team to work within the TownLiving Team and on large scale projects.
Reporting to the Area Building Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing overall construction team performance against key performance indicators
  • Adhering to Metricon’s building practices and procedures and looking to further improve upon them
  • Maximising workflow through efficient systems, including trade retention and allocation and supplier management
  • Implementing effective project management with a cost imperative in mind; and
  • Fostering a work culture where customer experience, teamwork and staff development are paramount.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Proven experience working as a Construction Manager as the scale of the project is too large
  • Extensive experience from within the volume or boutique home industry with a proven understanding of building regulations and standards
  • Proven commercial skills in managing trades, suppliers and project budgets
  • Leadership qualities which have resulted in the development of others and a high performance team
  • A strong customer service ethic, and the ability to creatively solve technical building matters
  • An ability to manage an OH&S program; and
  • A tertiary qualification in Building /Construction and/or related discipline is highly desirable.
