National Drafting and Design Manager - EveryOne

Operate at a senior level to develop the drafting team on a national level, developing and implementing initiatives to build their capacity.

You will set the standard for procedures while managing all customers' drawings to set and maintain a standard for the team. Based at head office in Mt Waverley.
Reporting to the Project Management and Operations Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team culture that is collaborative
  • Triage requests for new designs, coordinating development of new designs
  • Work closely with other divisions across VIC, NSW, SA and QLD to ensure documentation is clear and complete
  • Resolve complications with proposals by providing solutions to help the customer achieve their desired outcome and to enable operational efficiency
  • Manage the production of drawings for tenders, feasibility assessments, Town Planning, Contracts, Variations and FC’s in VIC, NSW, SA and QLD
  • Ensuring the drafting function is fully compliant and they adopt procedures to assess each job
  • Managing overhead budgets and ensuring your team is achieving budgeted volume.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Qualifications in Architectural Drafting (Diploma or higher) as minimum requirement, Degree qualified preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years drafting experience, preferably within the volume residential building industry
  • Competent in the use of AUTOCAD and REVIT and the residential home building and construction process
  • Minimum 3 years (management/supervisory) of people management in a fast paced, time critical customer-oriented environment
  • Ability to lead and support a cohesive team, while being able to provide professional and constructive feedback to customers and staff/peers when required
  • Highly developed communication and time management/prioritisation skills
  • Highly organised – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activities
  • A thorough knowledge of building and planning regulations
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite computer skills.
