Interior Design Consultant - Metricon Retail Services

This is a highly rewarding but challenging role located in our Mount Waverley office within the busy Metricon Retail Services (Studio M). Full time Mon- Fri 8.30am - 5pm 1 hour lunch break
Reporting to the Design Consulting Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting & guiding customers through the home personalisation & selection process, including interior colours, finishes and fittings; kitchens and bathrooms; and street appeal and outdoor living.
  • Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to confidently interact with customer; whilst exceeding customer satisfaction and sales targets;
  • Develop effective relationships with key supply partners and actively promote their products;
  • Provide accurate, timely and detailed paperwork through to the Customer and Operations team; and
  • Foster a positive and focused culture where customer service and teamwork is paramount, you will work effectively within a team and help create a positive culture with a strong desire for success.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Diploma in Interior Design;
  • Proven experience in retailing, interior design, marketing or sales, preferably related to the building industry;
  • Exemplary customer service and communication skills;
  • Experience working with a range of IT applications and software; and
  • An enthusiastic, proactive and results driven approach to all tasks undertaken.
