Experienced Payroll Officer to support our centralised payroll function and perform end to end payroll processing. Work from Head Office in Mt Waverley and home.

Reporting to the Payroll & Administration Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for administration of payroll production for 2000 + staff including: new starters, terminations, all payroll change of conditions and ad-hoc payments

Calculate and process all termination and adjustment payments

Complete accurate reconciliations and monthly reporting

Assist with end of month process and reconciliations

Maintain employer compulsory Superannuation thresholds and salary sacrifice arrangements

Respond to all payroll queries

Scan all archived employee files

Maintain payments/reconciliations/lodgement of Workcover, PAYG and Payroll tax

The successful candidate will have:

A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in all areas of payroll processing

Strong Excel skills

A proactive approach to problem solving and working cohesively within a team

Strong time management ability while prioritising tasks and meeting strict set deadlines

Excellent communication skills;

The ability to maintain strict confidentiality;

Positive attitude to all tasks undertaken; and

Understanding of basic payroll legislation.

This role requires a national police check be undertaken.
