Payroll Officer - Shared Services - Finance

Experienced Payroll Officer to support our centralised payroll function and perform end to end payroll processing. Work from Head Office in Mt Waverley and home.
Reporting to the Payroll & Administration Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Responsible for administration of payroll production for 2000 + staff including: new starters, terminations, all payroll change of conditions and ad-hoc payments
  • Calculate and process all termination and adjustment payments
  • Complete accurate reconciliations and monthly reporting
  • Assist with end of month process and reconciliations
  • Maintain employer compulsory Superannuation thresholds and salary sacrifice arrangements
  • Respond to all payroll queries
  • Scan all archived employee files
  • Maintain payments/reconciliations/lodgement of Workcover, PAYG and Payroll tax

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in all areas of payroll processing
  • Strong Excel skills
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and working cohesively within a team
  • Strong time management ability while prioritising tasks and meeting strict set deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality;
  • Positive attitude to all tasks undertaken; and
  • Understanding of basic payroll legislation.
