Eye for detail and some experience in Residential AutoCAD / REVIT drafting, to join our fun, supportive culture you will love coming to work each day. This role is with our high performing Dual Occupancy Drafting team in the Head Office Mount Waverley.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Produce design drawings using CAD / REVIT for: site plans, design solution sketches, sales plans, working drawings, variations, council plans and final construction drawings

Complete all drawings in accordance with design and construction details dictated by Building Code of Australia, local authority requirements and relevant planning requirements

Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described in the sales estimate, as well as in accordance with Metricon and building standards

Produce drawings to support stages of the workflow process to reflect requirements and to incorporate amendments required to obtain all relevant permits

Ensure that relationships with all internal departments, external customers, suppliers, agents and contractors are maintained and improved; and

Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to complete work confidently.

The successful candidate will have:

Formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting (Diploma or higher) would be an advantage or currently completing

Min 2 years Australian Drafting experience within the residential building industry

Ideally after someone with experience but open to a junior with a few years experience that wants to grow and develop quicker

Experienced with CAD and REVIT and be a confident user (essential)

Exposure and competent use of BCA, Rescode and AUTOCAD

Revit would be an advantage

The ability to communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines; and

Implement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
