This is a rewarding and challenging opportunity within our National Product Development Team for a talented driven REVIT Joinery Designer who is open to being trained the Metricon way. This full time, permanent role is based in our stylish and state of the art Robina office on the Gold Coast.
Reporting to the Senior Joinery Designer, your responsibilities will include:
• To develop cabinetry designs that are in accordance with project briefs, company policies and objectives
• To ensure cabinetry designs are practical, buildable, cost effective and compliant with required standards, through being involved in the delivery of detailed design documentation where necessary, seeking input from external parties (e.g. Suppliers/Construction/Management)
• Assisting with development of kitchen, bathroom, and media unit joinery upgrade packages
• Staying up to date with our current suppliers and learn about new materials/ hardware, their availability and specific material or product limitations; and
• Assisting with development and creation of visualisation tools to support joinery upgrades and streamline on site delivery.

The successful candidate will have:
• MUST have some experience with design software "REVIT" to create models and 3D visuals
• Successful completion of a Diploma of Interior Design or Cert IV in Kitchen and Bathroom Design
• Graduate Designer who is open to being trained the Metricon way
• Proven experience in a Kitchen Design, sales & estimating role could be an advantage
• Have a sound understanding/knowledge of the cabinetry construction process
• Background in design and be able to demonstrate an ability to translate conceptual plans into final drawings
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook computer skills
• Highly organised – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activities; and
• A passion and great attitude for design.
