This highly rewarding Display Production Draftsperson role, located at our Mountt Waverley Office, will see you playing an integral role within our busy National Product Development team. This is more of a production draftsperson role than design.

Reporting to the Display Drafting Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Completing the drafting documentation for our Metricon display homes from concept to handover

Produce drawings to support the stages of the workflow process to reflect the customer’s requirements and to incorporate amendments required to obtain all relevant permits

Respond to critical customer needs as identified by your Manager

Inspect the construction of new displays to mark up as constructed plans at key stages

Communicate and address variations and site minutes to rectify any on site issues with relevant departments

Ensuring all display architectural documentation is completed as per design intent and within the allowed timeframes

Ensuring documentation reflects customer requirements, building codes, local authority and planning requirement

Ensure you maintain a thorough working knowledge of the workflow information system to enable accurate and up to date reporting of job progress and forecast event dates

Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company software and company procedures associated with their usage; and

Handle multiple display centres and produce consistent results.

The successful candidate will have:

You will have strong, demonstrated experience in reading and producing working drawings

A tertiary/TAFE drafting qualification (or equivalent experience) and a background in residential construction is highly desirable

Thorough working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) is required

Thorough working knowledge of Revit software

Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

Ability to keep up to date with technological changes

Sound knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards related to residential construction
