This full time role based in our Mount Waverley Head Office is for a 5+ years Revit experience BIM Specialist, who will thrive on enhancing the capability of Revit Technicians in the National BIM team. You will maintain and enhance automations that optimise speed and accuracy across all drafting units whilst continuously developing and maintaining the Revit system across multiple departments, that supports and enables organisational growth, efficiency, and flexibility.
Reporting to the National BIM Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
  • Support Revit technicians in providing technical support and guidance and conduct training sessions / mentorship programs
  • Create and maintain dynamo scripts
  • Design, develop, and implement additional automation systems and workflows to improve productivity and efficiency in BIM processes
  • Integrate automation tools and technologies with BIM software platforms to automate tasks such as model generation, data extraction, and report generation
  • Design and create complex Revit families to accurately represent building components, equipment, and systems within BIM models
  • Liaise with BOQ / Supply Chain / Price file and wider product development teams to ensure consistency throughout library
  • Research and develop future BIM technology through research, experimentation, and collaboration with industry peers and technology vendors
  • Experiment with innovative BIM technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and artificial intelligence (AI) to explore their integration into BIM workflows and processes
  • Quality control by adhering to established procedures and checklists to ensure compliance with Metricon standards
  • Hardware and Software strategy and maintenance
  • Maintain and update the Drafting System as required; and
  • Interdepartmental integration of the Drafting System.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • 5+ years Revit experience - preferably within the volume home building industry
  • Superior/highly developed skills and experience with Revit and/or BIM systems
  • Superior/highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organised – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activities
  • Working knowledge of the building and construction process
  • Experience with Dynamo and/or C#/Python programming languages; and
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a team-orientated environment.
