This is a rare opportunity for an experienced and driven Senior Production Draftsperson to join our friendly, hardworking Knock Down Rebuild production drafting team in Mount Waverley using Revit on our award winning designs and facades within the Designer and Signature range by Metricon.

Reporting to the Group Drafting Manager, your responsibilities will include:

To produce all working drawings required to support the sales process, to provide leadership and support of the Drafting Manager

Complete all drawings in accordance with design and construction details dictated by Building Code of Australia, local authority requirements and relevant planning requirements

Drawings are to be produced to support the following stages of the workflow process to reflect the customer’s requirements and to incorporate amendments required to obtain all relevant permits

Check every job prior to each stage of the workflow process

Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described in the sales estimate, as well as in accordance with building regulations and Metricon standards

Maintain and provide input on the company CAD/REVIT software

Liaising with consultants, suppliers and internal departments; and

Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to complete work confidently.

The successful candidate will have:

Formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting (Diploma or higher)

Must have a minimum 7 years Australian AutoCAD and Revit Drafting experience, preferably within the volume residential building industry

A STRONG understanding of the residential home building and construction process

Exposure to and competent use of NCC and Building Standards and regulations

The ability to communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines; and

Be able to implement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
