Based out of our new Notting Hill office, this new and exciting role will help shape the future of our homes. As a key technical leader, your expertise in residential construction, building methods, and product innovation will help drive best practice, buildability, quality, and cost-effective outcomes across the business. Working closely with Construction, Design & Operations teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring our homes remain practical to build, aligned to industry standards and continuously improved to meet evolving market needs.

Reporting to the National Product Commercialisation Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the review and implementation of changes to the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and other industry requirements that impact residential building practices
  • Provide technical expertise on construction methods, detailing, and product design to ensure practical and effective site delivery
  • Support the development and release of new construction details, systems, and product initiatives in line with business timelines
  • Review and enhance construction methodologies to ensure they remain current, efficient, and aligned with evolving industry practices
  • Partner with Construction and Operational teams to identify opportunities to improve buildability, quality, efficiency, and construction outcomes
  • Conduct site visits and engage with construction teams to validate build methods, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure documentation reflects real-world construction practices
  • Research and evaluate new building products, materials, and construction innovations that support improved quality, customer outcomes, and operational efficiency
  • Review and assess proposed product improvements, construction details, and site instructions prior to implementation
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations regarding future industry, product, and construction changes
  • Support the successful implementation of technical and construction-related business initiatives across the organisation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders nationally to ensure construction, design, and operational impacts are understood and effectively managed
  • Assist with technical training and communication to support the rollout of new construction methods, product changes, and industry requirements
  • Monitor emerging building trends, innovations, and industry developments to help maintain market-leading construction practices
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations that improve quality, reduce construction costs, simplify building processes, and enhance customer outcomes; and
  • Participate in stakeholder and project meetings to provide technical leadership and ensure alignment between design intent and construction delivery.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Exceptional understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards for Residential Building elements, and other building code reference documents
  • High level of Construction method knowledge, both practical and technical
