Our team works across Victoria, NSW, South Australia and Queensland. Due to projected increase in build volumes, we are seeking a self-motivated and experienced project design specialist, adept in managing multiple project planning applications and tender designs. Position based at our Robina Head Office - with builds based throughout all Eastern regions of Australia.

Reporting to the National Product and Design Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Product/Project Design and development - prepare and coordinate the development of design solutions for proposed projects including streetscapes and product design.

Town planning documentation - co-ordinate planning approval documentation in multiple states across Australia utilising information from local planning schemes and external consultants, as well as managing workflow of offshore drafting resources.

Respond to tender opportunities that require design solutions for multi-residential sites through to master plan communities

Attend and direct meetings with project stakeholders and consultants

Review design documentation from internal and external departments for quality and accuracy

Prepare project yield and feasibility sketches utilising designs from both conceptual and existing product ranges

Assist with continual improvement to our Revit templates, processes, and protocols to improve both speed and quality of project deliverables

Some management of external drafting resources will be required; however, this is a role that requires a “hands on” approach to preparing project documentation

The successful candidate will have:

Successful completion of a Diploma of Building Design & Drafting, Diploma of Architectural Drafting or equivalent practical experience

The successful candidate will have a least 10 years design and or drafting experience, including 2 years medium density experience

Experience in the residential volume home building and or medium density industry in a design or drafting capacity will be highly regarded

Highly organised – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activities

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

Working knowledge of the residential home construction process

Working knowledge of NCC, and the ability to design against various state-based planning policies

Working knowledge of how to read developer guidelines, & Civil Services drawings

Basic Microsoft WORD, EXCEL and OUTLOOK computer skills

Experienced working knowledge of Revit software is essential
