Head of Strategic Procurement - Shared Services - Finance


The role focuses on unlocking margin, enhancing competitiveness, strengthening supply continuity, and driving procurement innovation across the business.
Reporting to the People Advisory Business Partner, your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop strategic procurement plans alongside the CEO, CFO and Board.
  • Conduct rigorous, fact-based commercial analysis of procurement transformation opportunities.
  • Provide market insights, cost trends and supply-chain risk assessments to senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver clear, commercially sound recommendations balancing margin, risk and supply surety.
  • Lead execution of approved strategies, including negotiations, supplier engagement and contract design.
  • Build performance frameworks to ensure benefits realisation and operational adoption.
  • Influence stakeholders across all levels, including executive peers, construction teams and the Board.
  • Develop capability within the existing procurement team to support a more strategic function.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • 10+ years procurement leadership experience, preferably in large-scale environments.
  • Proven success leading major change programs in complex organisations
  • Deep knowledge of Australian and Asian supply chains and regulatory settings.
  • Strong financial, analytical and commercial capability.
  • Background in construction (not necessarily residential).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and build cross-functional alignment.
  • High resilience and the ability to lead change in environments that may not yet be fully change-ready.
