You are accountable for the overall performance of the Brisbane / Gold Coast team. Drive efficiency and continuous improvement ensuring maximum profitability, quality and service while maintaining high quality work and safety.

Reporting to the Building Support Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Demonstrate their experience while achieving set targets within Metricon’s designated construction zones;

Operate at both the strategic and operational level to develop and implement strategies, while implementing training to support Metricon’s growth and leadership in the industry;

Driving team performance through coaching and mentoring, and leading the Construction team in delivering quality homes, on time to a high level of customer satisfaction;

Adhering to all legislation and Metricon’s building practices and procedures while driving an industry best-practice in construction;

Implementing effective project management with a cost imperative in mind; and

Fostering a positive work culture where customer experience, teamwork and staff development are paramount.

The successful candidate will have:

Minimum Construction Management experience within the building industry (preferably in the volume new home environment) and a solid understanding of current building regulations;

Experience in developing and implementing business strategies to achieve set deadlines & targets, business unit revenue and business KPIs;

A strong working knowledge of project management systems;

Proven experience managing teams with a fast paced and time critical focus;

Previous experience working with and implementing quality assurance systems to Australian standards;

Strong commercial acumen with professional communication (both written and verbal); and

A proactive approach in people management while leading and mentoring a large workforce.
