Due to continued growth, work within one of Metricon’s most dynamic and high performing teams as a Cost System Team Leader in our state of the art Robina office.
Reporting to the National BOQ Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Develop and maintain the estimating system to enable organisational growth, efficiency and flexibilityMaintain and enhance the estimating system to ensure timely and accurate production of BOQ’s, Retail Items and Purchase OrdersProvide support to the Production Estimating Team(s) to ensure timely and accurate production of purchase orders.Provide support to the Retail Systems Team to ensure timely and accurate pricing of options (standard, displayed and generic)Ensure that feedback from estimating systems users, is evaluated, elevated to the Manager (where required), discussed and implemented into programs if deemed advantageousWork with the Product Release Team to ensure BOQ’s are completed ahead of product release - including all sizes, facades and options, reflecting current pricing and specificationsAssist in the promotion and training of the estimating system to other departments and personnel

The successful candidate will have:
3+ years in an estimating role, preferably within the volume home building industryA qualification in Building/Construction and/or trade experience is highly desirableHave a high ability level to interpret, understand and communicate working drawings together with construction detail drawingsSuperior/highly developed interpersonal and communication skillsIntermediate Microsoft WOR and EXCEL computer skillsWorking experience using Databuild would be an advantageHighly organised – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activitiesDemonstrated working knowledge of the building and construction process.
