The successful candidate will be based in our stylish Mount Waverley office, providing both the strategic and tactical level management of all allocated cost centre procurement categories. Assist in driving all Procurement & Supply chain functional Strategies, Major Objectives, KRA’s & KPI’s.

Reporting to the Supply Chain & Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Procurement & Supply Chain Category Specific Strategies & Major Objectives
  • Engage key stakeholders in 6 core business functions - (i) Design (ii) Sales (iii) Operations (iv) Construction (v) Finance & (vi) Legal to develop, priorities & implement key category specific strategies & major objectives
  • Develop & implement supplier sourcing, performance management & retention program
  • Support Construction Onsite Efficiency, Quality & Safety by providing high Performing Supply Chain
  • Reduce Direct Build Costs & Increase Margin Opportunities
  • Reduce margin erosion & ETS
  • Support the Supply Chain & Procurement Manager in driving Procurement Leadership across the Metricon Organisation both at state level & nationally as required
  • Category LEVEL Performance Management and Improvement
  • Supplier LEVEL Performance Management and Improvement
  • Projects as nominated by manager
  • Internal and External Relationships

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Diploma or Degree qualified - in a business or related discipline with 2 years’ experience in a relevant organisation role or in an Estimating or related role
  • Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office/Windows environment particularly Excel
  • Knowledge and experience with distribution, logistics and forecasting systems
  • Knowledge and experience using various systems and project methodologies
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise and coordinate available time and resources for maximum effectiveness
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team
  • Strong Procurement process understanding
  • Excellent Communication & Presentation skills
  • Interpersonal Skills; and
